Dellow Gathering, August 22nd/23rd

We were blessed with lovely weather on both days of this new event. We had 6 Dellows on Saturday and a visitor, Mr Hey, who flew in from Ireland having owned EHJ900 in the fifties, but arrived with a friend in a gorgeous Frazer Nash BMW 327 which promptly was nominated an honorary Dellow for the day and was allowed to be displayed. Roy Wareham's Dellow POD 138 was located outside the Tourist Information Office and signs were erected directing visitors through the passage to the main site behind the Sussex Arms. Many interested visitors came to see us.

On the Sunday, drivers enjoyed a 40 mile run starting and finishing at David Salomon's house and this was followed by a very pleasant lunch enjoyed by all. A new car,EJN495, not known for many years appeared for the run which went via Sevenoaks Weald, Chiddingstone, Cowden and a coffee stop at St Ive's farm, Hartfield.

I'm pretty sure evrybody enjoyed it and a similar event will hopefully be held next year.
