A1 GP at Brands Hatch, Sunday May 3rd

I attended the A1 GP meeting at Brands Hatch last Sunday but not in the Dellow as we took two small boys who both loved it. The programme was excellent with plenty of close racing and consisted of the A1GP Sprint and Feature race as well as two Lotus Elise races, a Fomula
Palmer Audi race, FIA Lurani race for original F3 cars, a GT cup race and Heritage GT Challenge.
The A1GP had many keen national supporters and the sprint race, the main race and series were all won by Adam Carroll from Team Ireland, the final round in Mexico having been cancelled. The best race was the FIA Lurani round with the closest possible finish between the two ex works Team Lotus cars.
We left before the last race because the GT race was red flagged after two consecutive accidents at Pilgrims Drop proved too much, an excellent day out.
